The close of the 2023 season brings with it a deep sense of continuity. Our teas, once again, have reached homes and markets, carrying the strength of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh in every sip.
At Welcome Tea Company, the year has been one of steady advancement. Our analytics module – introduced earlier this year – now helps forecast leaf yield better. This has improved harvest planning with our garden partners and reduced waste by nearly 6%.
Perhaps the most exciting change is cultural – the next generation of leadership within the group has begun to take active roles in digitalisation, partnerships, and export diversification. Their energy blends seamlessly with the experience of our long-standing teams, creating a balance of wisdom and innovation.
Across our subsidiaries, Kheram continues to pioneer niche teas, Green Twigs has commenced trial production with highly promising results, and Bamunjuli remains on track to begin production by June next year.
